Generali Deutschland adopts Binah.ai’s video-based health and wellness monitoring tech

Israeli medical technology startup Binah.ai on Wednesday announced a partnership with Generali Deutschland, which will see the German business unit of Europe’s largest insurance group integrate Binah's tech in its new mobile application named VitalSigns&Care.

Binah.ai’s technology will allow users to extract vital parameters that are key to one’s health status such as heart rate, oxygen saturation, respiration rate and heart rate variability through the camera on their smartphone. In cooperation with global consulting firm, SDG Group, Generali Deutschland will complement Binah.ai’s technology with additional access to a vast range of assistance and prevention services. The Generali app will include additional tailor-made optional services such as useful advice on nutrition, preventive healthcare, and work-life balance.

The app is expected to be available to German users via app stores in early 2021, with Generali exploring future options to extend the geographic scope to other markets.

Giovanni Liverani, CEO of Generali Deutschland, declared: “As a trail-blazer in the global insurance market, with Generali VitalSigns&Care we put advanced analytics and Artificial Intelligence to the service of our customers, in a way that is affordable, fast and easy. A new tool to promote prevention, which, as we learnt during the current Covid emergency, is of paramount importance, and to protect our customer’s life and health.”
