Vital Signs Monitoring Startup Raises $13.5 Million

Tel Aviv-based medtech startup Binah AI Ltd. has raised $13.5 million in a series B funding round, the company announced Wednesday. The round was led by Maverick Ventures Israel, with participation from existing investors including Esplanade Ventures, Sompo International, GiTV, and iAngels.’s technology analyzes a video of the upper cheek skin region of a human face to extract a large set of vital signs and mental stress measurements. The video can be taken with any camera-equipped device, including a smartphone, a tablet, and an in-car camera.

Founded in 2016, the company has raised $17.5 million to date. In April, announced hospitals in the Canadian city of Montreal will use its technology to assist patients battling coronavirus (Covid-19). intends to use the raised funds to expand its sales and marketing teams.
